If you would like to be a participant in this project, our expectation is that you would highlight your lab deployment on a web page that we can point to, and we strongly encourage you to contribute to our documentation and/or actively participate in our forum.

Tech Leads

The primary project coordinator from each participating UEF member institutions is the "tech lead". The role of the tech lead is to:

  • Work towards solutions on project tasks in areas of member's expertise
  • Communicate with other interested Mac administrators on their campus about Mac OS X deployment
  • Help document those solutions in sections of the project documentation
  • Install at least a pilot lab in an area generally accessible to the college community
  • Host an on-campus seminar in coordination with Apple

Lab Steering Committee

The steering committee, consisting of a small group of tech leads, has established communication mechanisms using web pages, e-mail lists, web discussion forums, etc. Members of the steering committee are responsible for a subset of the topics, managing the efforts of those involved and making sure that the results are well documented.

The steering committee serves as the focal point for technical discussions with Apple. The steering committee will prioritize the list of topics, generated by the tech leads, to make sure that effort is invested on the most important topics first.
