About Us

The Higher Education Mac OS X Lab Deployment Initiative was created by members of the Apple University Executive Forum (UEF). The UEF is composed of chief information officers from over 30 distinguished colleges and universities. The UEF provides member institutions and Apple with the opportunity to discuss higher education trends and issues, with a specific focus on educational technology.

This initiative is intended to provide a collaborative environment for higher education institutions to support one another in the deployment of Mac OS X in a lab environment. The project team is composed of lab administrators from 25 UEF member institutions. See the Participants section for a list of participants. Representatives from Apple are also contributing significant technical assistance toward the project.
